When I read about this as a breaking news bit, part of my heart died. Cemetery, your riaotecn to Katrina is the same one I had, though I no longer live in the Industrial Valley to your SW.There is no question in my mind that liberal and conservative government forces alike are planning to disarm Americans systematically in the next several decades. I am not a paranoid or fearful sort. I'm basing this on many things I've observed including in some fairly closed settings. For example I worked in sustainability most of my career, before retiring sick of the power games that took the place of actually caring about how ecosystem devastation would affect regular people and all other species of living creatures. As part of that I worked in climate change science and policy. My own independent readings of 25 years of research (reaching back to before the topic became politicized) over that period of time indicates quite strongly that in the next 10 to 50 years. most of the eastern megalopolis will be below the new sea level, or its infrastructures flooded to the point of chaos. That's just one example of why it will be very very important that the powerbrokers count on a sheeplike, desperate citizenry that can't shoot back when being deprived of their homes, their jobs, their families and friends. I could provide many other examples food, water, pandemics . But the writing is on the wall; Google on environmental refugees and see how this is already playing out elsewhere. You noted all those people from NYC pouring into what, the Kittatinnies? I'd bet you that they won't have the chance to leave the islands, unless it's to FEMA camps on FEMA buses guarded by shock troops. No city will be easier to quarantine and control. Even more important will be to have before that time a mass mindset engineered into most people that anyone who opposes the government or any of its agencies or contractors is a HORRIBLE CRIMINAL. And that anyone who takes any role other than state-designated victim is evil.

children shouldn't smoke pot, and that it's an adult aitvcity. You attempted to portray prohibition as somehow protecting children, when ALL reformers know it harms them.>>> In the face of my 2 year old articles I’ve written You really should try quitting resting on your laurels. The only thing I had to judge by was what you were saying mostly prohibitionist arguments. If you want to stop being seen in that light, stop making their case.>>> crying for legalization and those here who say I’m not a prohibitionist you’re still stupid enough to try and make me out to be a prohibitionist because thats your only link to having an argument.>>> its not “ABSOLUTELY” safe. Period Okay. Let's try to make some progress here. We'll let it slide on who began it, and I'll AGREE with you! Marijuana is not absolutely safe. Smoking it can cause minor irritation to the lungs, and newbies can get into trouble if they go out driving after they take their first tokes.Happy?

they will take part in a debate on WBGO Jazz 88 on Thursday, October 22 at 8pm. But Republican gbiernatorual nominee Christopher Christie is waiting to see how Corzine responds to debate invitations from League of Women Voters debate for October 16, which would have been broadcast by the New York and Philadelphia ABC affiliate, and from NJ 101.5. Jon Corzine is afraid to debate on a major network affiliate with a large audience but agrees to a debate on a station whose board is stacked with Democrat party loyalists, said Christie strategist Michael DuHaime. He should be willing to go on network if for no other reason than to apologize to as many New Jerseyans as possible for raising income, business and property taxes, taking way property tax rebates and property tax deductions and doubling the unemployment rate. On Election Day, he won't be able to hide behind his money anymore. After Corzine initially refused to participate in New Jersey Network's October 1 debate that was sanctioned by the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC), NJN tried to move it back to October 22, since Corzine indicated he would take part then. That led to ELEC's four commissioners deadlocked along partisan lines, and to Corzine acquiescing to the original date. Christie Campaign Manager Bill Stepien then issued a statement inviting Corzine to debate on the later date, since it appears his schedule is also open for a debate on Oct. 22. While we have agreed to the debate, Christie has not, even after he challenged the governor to debate on that very same date-, said Corzine spokeswoman Elizabeth Smith.WBGO News Director Doug Doyle said that the October 22 date is not final, and that the station is attempting to find a way to accommodate all three candidates. There's nothing official on that on any side, because it's still in the preliminary talks, he said. The Newark-based station reaches the northern half of New Jersey, all five boroughs of New York City and parts of New York State. Doyle said that he will look into partnering up with other public radio stations if he can confirm a date with all three candidates.

Right on point Rachel. One other idea would to have this party at home and have make-up, hair supplies and dress-up clhtoes on hand that Jordyn and her friends can use to create their own looks. Or do some paper bag dramatics where the girls are split into groups and given a paper bag with wacky and fun costume pieces and props that they have to use to dress each other with and create a little skit or tableau for the rest of the party. You might also consider hiring your favorite teenager, babysitter or young neighbor (or two or three) to serve as the make-up artists and hairstylists. It seems a little excessive to be paying salon professionals for a child's birthday party. You could even have someone on hand as the photographer to take fun polaroids of the girls which they could take home as party favors (or even decorate as an art project during the party). I don't think it's unreasonable to have a birthday party that involves make-up and dress-up. I think the key to keeping it age appropriate is to make sure the goal isn't to have all the girls looking like pageant contestants before they go home.
